The BVI, Island to Island

Granite boulders you swim between, a bar you wade to, and a flat coral island famous for lobster.

The BVI is the sailing capital of the Caribbean, sheltered water, short hops, and dozens of anchorages. You don't need a boat to enjoy it, though: this route uses the public ferries to reach The Baths on Virgin Gorda, the beach bars of Jost Van Dyke, and Anegada, a flat coral island where the lobster is the reason people come.

What you get

The whole trip, decided.

Not a list of sights. A route someone has already walked, with the bookings that need doing early flagged, the transfers timed, and the costs written as real ranges instead of a fantasy number.

Why this one

Worth the flight.

  • The Baths on Virgin Gorda, house-sized granite boulders forming pools and grottoes
  • Wading ashore at White Bay to the Soggy Dollar Bar, which is how it got the name
  • Anegada, a coral atoll 8m high at its peak, and the lobster grilled on its beaches
  • Cane Garden Bay on Tortola at sunset
  • Ferry hopping between islands with nothing much scheduled

Best months are December, January, February, March, April, May. Expect around $2,200–4,200 per person, excluding flights for the whole 6 days, excluding flights. The guide breaks that into stay, food, activities and transport so you can see where it goes.

How this stays honest

Checked August 2026

Prices, opening days and entry rules drift, and no written guide can outrun that. So costs are always ranges rather than quotes, every plan carries the date it was last checked, and the last page is six things to confirm yourself before you book anything.

I take no commission from any hotel or operator. You book everything yourself, in your own name, at the price you can see.
